Ahh Kate, so true! Pre and post show rituals are always so interesting to recognize. I actually noticed how particular I tend to be before going on stage – future blog post! And prepping my mind is definitely a part of it. Zen stick, I like it, haha, thinking of adopting your lingo! Don’t think I forgot about your post…will come soon!

To be at peace in the moment where all bets are off is the most gracious exhilarating feeling one can muster. Whack, another hit from the Zen stick. This was so spot on Christina. Post show ritual has actually become one of the things about performance I love most. You have to watch the mind & calm the loud attention needing chatter- especially the who’s watching, perhaps even judging chatter. Dancing is definitely a form of Zen. Wish I could have seen it!
